ASUS

Asus, short for ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated, is a Taiwanese manufacturer founded in 1989. The company produces a wide range of PC components and other electronic devices, with motherboards being a specialty. In 2017, Asus’ share of the motherboard market was 45%, making it a market leader by a healthy margin.

In the PC part segments, Asus uses its brands ROG (Republic of Gamers) and/or Strix for its high-end parts, including both graphics cards and motherboards. Mid-range and mainstream motherboards are instead labeled Prime or TUF.
