Graphics Cards

The graphics card is what ultimately determines a PC’s gaming performance. All other things being equal, upgrading to ta faster card will always improve the frame rates in your games and/or allow for additional detail settings.

Which graphics card to get depends on your monitor resolution and desired level of detail. An affordable GPU (graphics processing unit, often used as shorthand for the entire card) may be more than sufficient for playing casual and eSports titles on a 1080p monitor.

Some AAA titles will require a mid-range card to run well, especially at 1440p resolution and above.

To play almost anything at 4K (2160p) with good frame rates, you are going to need a high-end GPU such as the RTX 2070S. If there’s one component you should never compromise on in a gaming PC, it is definitely the video card.
